A steam generator or a boiler is defined as a closed vessel in which water is converted into steam by burning of fuel in presence of air at desired temperature, pressure and at desired mass flow rate.

Chemical treatments of water inside the boiler is usually essential and complements external treatment by taking care of any impurities entering the boiler with the feed water (hardness, oxygen, silica, etc.) and eliminates oxygen from the water and provide enough alkalinity to prevent boiler corrosion.

Treatment can constitute the unique treatment when boilers operate at low or moderate pressure, when large amounts of condensed steam are used for feed water, or when good quality raw water is available. The purpose of an internal treatment is to

  1. React with any feed-water hardness and prevent it from precipitating on the boiler metal as scale;
  2. Condition any suspended matter such as hardness sludge or iron oxide in the boiler and make it non-adherent to the boiler metal;
  • Provide anti-foam protection to allow a reasonable concentration of dissolved and suspended solids in the boiler water without foam carry-over
  1. Eliminate oxygen from the water and provide enough alkalinity to prevent boiler corrosion
  • Water Dispersant
  • Oxygen scavenger

Dispersant is a concentrated phosphate based formulation with a combination of carboxylate organic polymer dispersants designed for use as a boiler water treatment.  The product is designed for use in boiler systems having softened makeup water and operated on the phosphate cycle.

Chemical provides one of the most effective combinations of polymers for modern, higher heat transfer boilers.  It is specifically formulated so that the product ingredients comply with FDA regulations published in CFR – 21 parts 173.310 entitled “Boiler Water Additives” for use in boilers where steam contacts food or edible products.

PACKAGING

Packing is available in 30 kg/liter in non-returnable plastic gallons

Oxygen Scavenger is a cobalt catalyzed technical grade of anhydrous sodium sulfite designed to react almost instantaneously with oxygen present in the boiler feed water.  By acting as an oxygen scavenger, the product is used to control corrosion and pitting caused by the presence of this dissolved gas.  The product ingredients comply with FDA regulations published in CFR – 21 parts 173.310 entitled “Boiler Water Additives”.

PACKAGING

Packaging in 100 and 400 pound, non‑returnable fiber drums.  Also, 50 pound pails are available by special order.
